Iconic architect creates a ROM that’s crystal clear

Canadian Jewish News

As you drive along Bloor Street, you’ll see the finest gems in town at Cartier, Royal de Versailles and the Royal Ontario Museum. You’ll be dazzled by the brilliance and clarity of the Michael Lee-Chin Crystal, the ROM’s new showpiece wing. Everything takes on a new light at the Michael Lee-Chin Crystal, because, thanks to renowned architect Daniel Libeskind, Toronto has an incredible new ROM for everyone to discover – even the passersby. The groundbreaking design was crystallized for Libeskind when he attended a family wedding at the ROM. How close are the fab five to his original drawings? “Amazingly close, because you draw something out of your heart in a moment of inspiration.” Libeskind replies on the phone from his New York office.
