Heritage building may get four more storeys

Regina Leader Post

A $5-million expansion, which will involve adding four storeys to the Motherwell Building in downtown Regina, is being planned. George Pantazopoulos, president of Kensington Development Inc., said construction should begin almost immediately and should be completed by September or October. Pantazopoulos said the construction will involve building 24 residential condominiums in the former office building, which was converted for residential use several years ago and already has 56 condominiums. The building, at 1901 Victoria Ave., is frequently cited as being a success story, as efforts continue to revitalize downtown Regina and to get more people living in that area of the city.
