I take it all back. At least the part about us politely patriotic Canadians not appreciating the culturally and historically significant architecture all around us. Having groused on these pages last week that, unlike Americans, we as a young country don't seem to take much pride in our heritage buildings -- neither preserving them well nor boasting about them to the world -- you let me have it, and then some. You agree that we tend to be collectively unenthusiastic about our national bricks and mortar treasures, but dozens of you had no problem coming up with nominations for a Canadian version of The 25 Most Important Houses In America, which is the cover story in the current issue of Fine Homebuilding Houses, and features the iconic Frank Lloyd Wright house, Fallingwater, as the most famous American house.
