Rashid's wild democratic vision

The Globe and Mail

Celebrity designer Karim Rashid whipped through Toronto last week to present his vision for a new kind of house. At a reception at the Century Room on King Street, the producers of the Interior Design Show (the eighth annual event will take place Feb. 23-26) unveiled Rashid's Kit 24. The IDS has a long-standing tradition called Concept Spaces, fantasy zones whipped up by the country's leading architects and designers. In the past, various stars -- from Bruce Mau and 3rd Uncle to Cecconi Simone and Brian Gluckstein -- have each done dream living spaces.
