What did you do? Checked out some of Montreal's great architecture. What's so great about Montreal's architecture? There's something for everyone, no matter what time period you love. You can see remnants of Montreal's first public square at Pointe-a-Calliere -- the Montreal Museum of Archeology and History (350 Place Royale, 1-514-872-9150, www.pacmusee.qc.ca). A few blocks away, sturdy Victorian bank and insurance buildings line the streets of Old Montreal. Many have been converted into swanky boutique hotels, such as the Hotel Place d'Armes (701 Cote de la Place d'Armes, 1-888-450-1887, www.hotelplacedarmes. com). If the 1960s are more your style, there are the groovy blocks of Expo 67's Habitat on the St. Lawrence River waterfront (www.habitat67.com). Finally, several new buildings are winning raves from fans of post-modern architecture.
