Winnipeg Free Press

Imagine if your public library consisted of a network of pods or modules, located in airports, train stations and transit terminals. While on the move, you could pop into "the library" to download today's New York Times onto your Blackberry. Using your cellphone, you could order a book from the library's collection, for next-day delivery to the pod. You could borrow a book from a pod in the Winnipeg airport, read it on the plane, and return it at the Frankfurt airport. If you decided to buy the book, you could have it shipped to your home address. Whether you wanted a map, sports scores, entertainment listings, a weather forecast, a downloadable magazine, movie or CD, you could use your library hyper-tag to access what you needed, in many convenient locations.
