Edmonton Art Gallery to tap Alsop

Controversial British architect Will Alsop is expected to be named the winner next week of an international competition to design a $40-million revamp of the Edmonton Art Gallery. A seven-member jury will recommend Tuesday that the gallery's board of directors give the commission to Mr. Alsop instead of one of the other three candidates short-listed in May.
