Architect seeks mayor's seat

A desire to bring together a "totally divided" city is one of the motivations that is driving Nanaimo's Jolyon Brown to run for mayor in next month's municipal election. Brown, a local architect and novice politician, said he's a firm believer in consensus-building and trying to encourage people to work together to make Nanaimo the best city it can be.
