What a loss for Victoria is the departure of architect John Di Castri. Although I was familiar with many of his buildings, my introduction to John himself dates to an interview for an article written in the late 1980s. How impressed I was with the extent and the quality of John's work and with John's inherent humility, good nature, and earnest dedication to the art and craft of architecture.
