Everyone who's watching the rising skyline of downtown Toronto knows that CityPlace has already stamped a very conspicuous architectural mark on the urban fabric. The first generation of towers and townhouses in this huge residential development -- near the Rogers Centre (the former SkyDome) on the east side of Spadina Avenue -- are either up or in advanced stages of construction. The first CityPlace skyscrapers in the next generation, on the west side of Spadina, have begun to climb.
