New Holocaust museum tells victims' stories

CBC

Leaders and dignitaries from 40 countries attended the opening of a new Holocaust museum at Jerusalem's Yad Vashem memorial on Tuesday. The museum focuses on the personal tragedies of the six million Jews who perished in the Nazi genocide. It took more than a decade of planning to create the Yad Vashem Holocaust Memorial and Information Centre, which is four times bigger than the old one. The building, designed by Canadian architect Moshe Safdie, spans more than 4,000 square metres. The designer of the exhibits is Dorit Harel.
