Architect sees Big O as a CHUM option

And now for something completely different. While advocates of building the new Universite de Montreal teaching hospital in the Outremont rail yard face off with those favouring a site at 1000 St. Denis St., an architect with experience building hospitals has proposed recycling the Olympic Stadium as the new Centre hospitalier de l'Universite de Montreal. Health Minister Philippe Couillard, who appears to favour the $1.1-billion St. Denis St. site over the $1.8-billion Outremont site, won't even consider the proposal, reportedly dismissing the idea as crazy.
