Thats just plain pugly

The Globe and Mail

Armchair architectural critics will get a chance to decide what's excellent and what is pug-ugly about Toronto architecture, and hand out awards, in a contest to be launched March 1. The Pugly Awards is a website where visitors can vote on the city's best known, most loved and least liked buildings in an on-line competition. Sponsored by Tri Continental Capital and Cecconi Simone Inc., the Pugly Awards are an on-line competition created to recognize the best and worst residential and commercial developments of 2004. Organizers say the awards will give the people of Toronto an opportunity to be heard, whether to celebrate the great or decorate the ugly ones, like dogs (the competition mascot is a Pug) decorate fire hydrants.
