Renovated GPRC Theatre dedicated

Daily Herald Tribune

A great Canadian architect known for creating works of art in each of the buildings he designs was honoured Saturday as the Grande Prairie Regional College dedicated its newly renovated theatre the Douglas J. Cardinal Performing Arts Centre. The dedication marks the near completion of the $500,000 Theatre Heritage Project launched last year by Senator Tommy Banks to restore and renew the facility, which had started to show signs of age after three decades. It was during that process that the college decided to rename its theatre in honour of the architect who designed the college.
