Slump hits at Granite
The historic Granite Curling Club is in danger of collapsing into the Assiniboine River. But to repair the shaky riverbank and repair the damage already done could cost $600,000. "Our building is basically slipping into the river. We've got a lot of structural damage," general manager Laurie Martens told The Sun. "The building itself is being held up with trusses and everything. That part is good, but the walls themselves are basically letting go on the sides. And that's due to the riverbank being unstable."
