Toronto's Hummingbird Centre has enlisted celebrity architect Daniel Libeskind to lead a multimillion-dollar redevelopment of the concert hall. Libeskind will design a new condominium-theatre complex to replace the aging Front Street theatre after its two principal tenants – the Canadian Opera Company and the National Ballet of Canada – move out next year, the centre's chief executive, Daniel Brambilla, said Friday. "We have a signed agreement and he's very excited about it," Brambilla told CBC News. The proposal will be presented to Toronto's city council in April.
