A proposal to build a new stadium in Winnipeg was unveiled Tuesday morning – and as promised, the plan calls for more than just a stadium. The Red River Exhibition Association, the Winnipeg Football Club and CanadInns are calling for a $165 million multiplex to be built on the Red River Ex land. The facility would include a 250-room hotel, a water park, and a 30,000-seat football stadium and exhibition facility. "What we've got here is a unique partnership with a synergy where you've got one plus one plus one equals 22, that is the way we've looked at it," says Leo Ledohowski, head of the CanadInns hotel chain. "We want to create a facility that's unique for North America, someplace where we can all end up winning and where the economic viability is considerably enhanced."
