What matters now is public space on the Toronto waterfront. There's no point disguising this behind puffed-up rhetoric. Places for people need to be privileged along the waterfront, is all. Political posturing -- the turf wars between the feds and the city and who should be named the chair of the proposed tri-governmental committee -- is vaguely entertaining but mostly appalling. Like circus sideshows, the nonsense needs to be shut down in short order.
