Fred Thornton Hollingsworth has designed a lot of homes in his time. Heck, he created 100 alone in the North Vancouver neighbourhood he still calls home. Houses were his bread and butter as an architect. Sure he'd designed the law building at UBC, but nothing quite compared with creating a house for families to call home. One family in particular stands out for Hollingsworth. They are the Tretheweys and he created or helped design three homes for them - one in Abbotsford and one in Maple Ridge, including a fascinating structure on 216 Street that includes its very own lake.
