RAIC announces new President and Board Executive

The Royal Architectural Institute of Canada (RAIC) is pleased to announce its 2004 president Chris Fillingham, FRAIC and new Executive Committee. Mr. Fillingham is the Managing Principal of Dunlop Architects Inc. He is also a past President of the Ontario Association of Architects and a member of the Executive Committee of the Canadian Commission on Building and Fire Codes. He has extensive experience in managing and directing consultant teams on complex, multi-faceted projects in health, education, and scientific research.

Joining Mr. Fillingham on the Executive Committee is:
Bonnie Maples, FRAIC - Immediate Past-President
Yves Gosselin, MIRAC - First Vice President and President-Elect
Vivian Manasc, FRAIC - Second Vice President

"The coming year holds a bright future for the profession of Architecture. Opportunities abound as society embraces the importance of sustainability. The RAIC and its Board is prepared to seize the opportunity and place the profession at the centre of communities, large and small," said Mr. Fillingham.

The Royal Architectural Institute of Canada is a voluntary national association established in 1907 as the voice for architecture and its practice in Canada. Representing more than 3,200 architects, the RAIC provides the national framework for the development and recognition of architectural excellence.
