"Canada," says Frank Gehry, sighing wistfully, "is a difficult country. "Your media can be pretty nasty. I'm used to dealing with the press but I've never had so much airing of dirty laundry. The press has driven me nuts." The Toronto-born architectural star came through town earlier this week to unveil a new hockey trophy he designed and also to check up on the Art Gallery of Ontario. For several years now, Gehry has been trying to do an addition for the AGO, so far without much success. Sponsored by SuperBuild and super rich Ken Thomson, primarily to display his vast art collection, the addition has not been going well.
