Architects Arrive To Plot Out VAG Plan
The first phase of redeveloping the Vancouver Art Gallery is set to begin, as representatives from L.A.'s Michael Maltzan Architecture Inc. arrive in town on Monday (May 17) to begin a formal exploration of options. On May 4, the gallery board of trustees announced it had chosen the firm--which has worked on projects at such facilities as the Fresno Metropolitan Museum and the Museum of Modern Art's temporary exhibition space in Queens--from a shortlist of four.
