Building toward a 'Toronto effect'

Toronto Star

Toronto's cultural landmarks are currently undergoing a collective face-lift that just might shift the way the world regards this city. Stars of architectural design, including Frank Gehry and Daniel Libeskind, are applying their talent to local projects. By the end of this decade, through their efforts and those of others, downtown Toronto will have a new opera house, a redesigned Royal Ontario Museum, a brilliantly eccentric addition to the Ontario College of Art, a revamped museum of ceramic art and an elegantly expanded Art Gallery of Ontario.
