To some he's Frank, to others Frankenstein. In either case, the Toronto architectural community is looking forward to seeing what the world's most famous architect will do at the Art Gallery of Ontario. Frank Gehry's scheme won't be unveiled until tomorrow, but already it has the profession in a state of anticipation. "I think he's a great architect," says respected Toronto practitioner Donald Schmitt. "He's been an enormously important figure. We tend to think of him in terms of (the Guggenheim Museum in) Bilbao, but his influence goes back 20 or 25 years, when he designed his house.
