Surrey Central City a 'commitment to urbanity'

Vancouver's Bing Thom has spearheaded the design of some innovative buildings: UBC's Chan Centre, Canada's pavilion at the 1992 Seville World's Fair, Toronto's Roy Thomson Hall. But the recently opened Surrey Central City may be more ambitious than any of these acclaimed monuments. Certainly, that city's most important new landmark says far more about the architect's public values.
