The School of Architecture at the University of Waterloo, in Waterloo, Ontario has begun construction this week of its new facility on the banks of the Grand River in nearby Cambridge, Ontario. Several private donors as well as supporters of the School's move to Cambridge gathered last night at the Cambridge Gallery to launch construction. Rick Haldenby, the School's Director, said "over half the tenders for the project are in and it is clear that we are going ot complete the School of Architecture on budget and on time to open in September 2004 as planned."
