Planners issue call for museum designs
Architects from around the world were invited yesterday to submit ideas for a new Canadian Museum for Human Rights. "Winnipeg will be on the mind of the creative world," said Gail Lord, a museum planner and an adviser to the project. The $270-million project, to be located in the heart of Winnipeg at the junction of the Red and Assiniboine rivers, is being spearheaded by the Asper Foundation.
