An elegant piece of late 60's modernism, the Norquay building has an understated architectural quality. The compsoitions, scale, materials all contribute to a quality design that can easily be dismissed as "just a box". To dismiss the building in this way is to do it a dis-service. Good architecture from this period has a timeless quality and this building has it in spades. In addition to office accommodation, the Norquay Building also houses an auditorium used for public lectures.
