Interior Access Open Hours Only
The three storey banking hall is probably the grandest interior space in the city outside of the Provincial Legislature. In offices originally occupied by bank officials, walnut mantelpieces and exquisite fabrics adorn the walls. The banking hall was overlooked by a large room which fronted the building. ABove this were further offices linking by a cast-iron cantilevered staircase and liftshaft.
The most interesting place in the building is the loft space above the glass dome in the banking hall. Originally this would have been lit by natural light through dormer windows, but now is lit by fluorescent tubes giving a weird look to the dome from the banking floor.
The basement has some fine vaults with facilities for private security box owners. These were quite opulent with marble hallways and fine iron and brass fittings.
