Architecture of Steinbach

In 1874, eighteen Mennonite families from Russia founded a small town in an area with only one real distinguishing feature, a stony brook - Steinbach, in German. It now has a population of over 9,000 people.

We're featuring some of the buildings from the Mennonite Heritage Village. Although this is a museum it is useful to be able to understand and appreciate the local vernacular architecture.
