Located in the heart of the Red River Valley with its rich, fertile land the R.M. of Montcalm lies approximately 60 kilometres south of Winnipeg, and is on the way to the USA/Canada border. The three communities that make up the R.M. are Saint Joseph, Saint Jean Baptiste, and Letellier. Highway 75 goes through a part of the municipality, as well as, several Provincial Trunk Highways.
